MEET WENDY ENGBERG

WENDY ENGBERG

Medical Staff Coordinator/Provider Enrollment

Wendy Engberg  is a Medical Staff Coordinator/Provider Enrollment and has been with Pershing Health System for 17 years. When asked what she likes best about Pershing, Wendy stated, “Everyday is different. There are always new challenges and the just when you think you have the knowledge needed for your job, an opportunity presents itself to learn something new each day.”

I can think of more than 3 but some would say stubborn, straight forward, organized, loyal, OCD

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love spending time & relaxing as much as possible with my family and friends and soaking up the joy of being a first time grandmother

What do you want people to know about PHS?

*We are more than just a small town hospital.

*We strive to treat our patients like we would want our family & friends to be treated, because after all, when you are from a small community your family and friends are also your patients.

*We are always looking for new services to offer our community to keep them from having to travel far away for care.

*Our patients health and concerns are truly important to us and we are thankful for the opportunity to show our patients how much the really mean to us by providing them the best service possible.

MEET NICKY ELLIOTT

NICKY ELLIOTT, PHLEBOTOMIST
Laboratory

Nicky Elliott is a Phlebotomist in the Laboratory and has been with Pershing Health System for 3 years. When asked what she likes best about Pershing, Nicky stated, “I like getting to know the people from our community, learning about their lives and hearing their stories.”

MEET KRISTIN DOWELL

KRISTIN DOWELL
Phlebotomist & Laboratory Services Department

Kristin Dowell is a Phlebotomist in our Laboratory Services Department and has been with Pershing Health System for two and a half years. When asked what she would like people to know about PHS, Kristin stated, “We all work very hard to help those who walk through our doors.” Kristin loves playing with her two dogs and cats and working with her coworkers because they find ways to make the job fun. She is hoping within the next year she will be starting school to become a Medical Laboratory Technician.

What do you like best about your position at Pershing?

I love working with my coworkers. We find ways to make the job fun!

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I have been to Africa for a mission trip. And I found out it is the one place I can tan.

What is something that you would like to learn how to do?

I am hoping within the next year, I will start school to be a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

MEET ALLISON CORDRAY

ALLISON CORDRAY
Laboratory Department

Allison Cordray is the Laboratory Director and has been with Pershing Health System for 7 years. When asked what she likes best about Pershing, Allison stated, “I like the science behind the lab. Working with physicians to diagnose patients and provide quick and efficient lab results is very rewarding for our team. What we do has such a big impact on our patients’ immediate and long-term health.”

What do you want people to know about PHS?

PHS is a necessity for our community. We are very lucky to have such great healthcare right here at home. There are so many things that Pershing has to offer. From specialty clinics to state of the art lab and radiology equipment, to mental health and swingbed services, Pershing has a variety of care to offer.

MEET LISA DAUGHERITY

LISA DAUGHERITY
Outpatient & Emergency Department

Lisa Daugherity is a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Outpatient and Emergency Departments and has been with Pershing Health System for three years. Lisa enjoys spending time with her horses and competing in mounted shooting events in her free time. When asked what she would like people to know about PHS, Lisa stated, “Rural healthcare is vital to our community, and we can provide services close to home. Take advantage of that. There is no care like “hometown” care. We care about our patients and will give you the care you deserve.”

My daughter Ella. She makes me want to be a better person every day!/

MEET PATTY CROSSER

PATTY CROSSER
Meadville Medical Clinic

Patty Crosser is a Patient Access Representative at the Meadville Medical Clinic and has been with Pershing Health System for 11 years. When asked what she liked best about her position at Pershing, Patty stated, “I enjoy serving my community and helping the patients any way I can.” In her free time, Patty enjoys spending time with her family, working in her flower garden, and reading.

MEET DARLENE CRAIG

DARLENE CRAIG
Patient Accounts

Darlene Craig is an Insurance Biller in our Patient Accounts department and has been with Pershing Health System for just under 9 years. In her free time, Darlene enjoys making quilts and doing other types of needle work and crafts. When asked what she wanted people to know about PHS, she stated, “PHS is like a family. Sometimes everyone gets along and other times there are some disagreements, but we all come together to make sure the job is done, whether it is caring for patients or billing claims.

What is something that you would like to learn how to do? 
I would like to learn to turn wooden bowls, etc. on a wood lathe.  I need lots of practice.

MEET TONJA CORAM

TONJA CORAM
Environmental Services

Tonja Coram is our Environmental Services Supervisor and has been with Pershing Health System for 15 years. In her free time, Tonja enjoys spending time with her family and watching her grandson, Xavier at his sporting events. One thing most people don’t know about Tonja is that her grandmother, Alice Coram was also the Environmental Services Supervisor at PHS in the 1970’s.

OTHER QUESTIONS WE ASKED:

Describe one of your heroes?
My grandfather, Lavern Langwell taught me everything I know about hard work. I worked beside him, helping him to remodel homes and build decking.

What are 3 words that people would use to describe you?
Hardworking, dependable and energetic

 

MEET BEVERLY CHIOLERO

BEVERLY CHIOLERO
Admissions

Beverly Chiolero is a Patient Access Representative in our Admissions Department and has been with Pershing Health System for 15 years. When asked what she wanted people to know about PHS, Beverly stated, “I want people to know that the Emergency Department at Pershing has highly qualified Doctors and our nursing staff is top notch. I have witnessed firsthand the life-saving techniques this staff has done. I’m so glad we have Pershing here in our community. I could not imagine our area without it and I encourage you to come to Pershing for your health care needs.”

What do you like best about your position at Pershing?
My favorite part of being the admissions clerk in the ER is the variety of people and emergencies I encounter. Every time I walk through the door it’s a different night. You never know what or who you will be dealing with. It’s like a new adventure every night.

What is something that you would like to learn how to do?
I’ve always enjoyed being around animals of all kinds and I would love to work at an animal sanctuary for elephants. I saw my first elephant at the circus when I was 6 years old and have had a love for them ever since. I know that sounds crazy but if the opportunity comes up, I would be the first to volunteer.

 

MEET BRIAN CASEBOLT

BRIAN CASEBOLT
Pharmacy

Brian Casebolt is our Director of Pharmacy and has been with Pershing Health System for 23 years. When asked what he likes best about his position at PHS, he stated, “I am given the opportunity to impact patients in a positive way by helping to improve their health. I also get to work with some terrific people and provide guidance related to medications.”

Describe one of your heroes?
My father.  He was both tough and caring.  He was smart and confident but also humble in his approach to others.

What is something that you would like to learn how to do?
Learn to play guitar or piano

MEET MAEGAN CAIN

MAEGAN CAIN
Dietary Services

Maegan Cain is our Dietary Supervisor and has been with Pershing Health System for 4 years. When asked what she liked best about her position at PHS, Maegan stated, “I adore my work family! I have made some irreplaceable friendships while being here. We really do care about one another here and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

What is something that you would like to learn how to do?
I want to learn how to crochet.
 

What are 3 words that people would use to describe you?
I would hope it would be genuine, trustworthy and loving. I strive to be those 3 things.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending any time I can get with my grown children. One is in Japan in the Marines and one is in Columbia in college, so I don’t get to see them much, but they are the light of my life. I have a Frenchie named Archie that is also one of the loves of my life. I also like to read and watch movies.  

What do you want people to know about PHS?
That we really are much more than a “band-aid station” that people call us. This hospital has grown in so many ways and we have really good doctors and nurses that truly care about their patients. Not to mention all of the outpatient services we provide and the specialty doctors that come here for your convenience.

MEET DONNA BURTON

DONNA BURTON
Community Medical Associates

Donna Burton is a Clinic Referral Specialist and has been with Pershing Health System for 10 years. One thing most people don’t know about Donna is that she loves quilts and enjoys making them as well as collecting them. When asked what she liked best about her position at PHS, Donna stated “I love helping our patients get their appointments scheduled with the specialists.”

Fun, outgoing, and helpful.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I love spending time with my family. We love to spend the summer weekends camping, riding side by side, and enjoying the outdoors.  We spend a lot of summer nights watching my daughter’s softball games and my son’s baseball games.  In the winter months, I love working on quilts.
