TORI ADAMS
Radiology
Tori Adams is a Radiologic Technologist and has been with Pershing Health System for just under a year. When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, she stated, “I enjoy the people I work with and that I am able to be a part of our patients’ healthcare journey.”

Environmental Services
Tressa works in Environmental Services and was nominated for the Employee Spotlight for February. Lorna Woodside, Director of Support Services states, “Tressa is one of those employees that you can always count on! Not only to do her daily responsibilities, but to always reach out to others on her team to see if she can assist them. Tressa knows the meaning of ‘Team Work’ and displays it daily.”
When asked what she liked best about Pershing, Tressa stated that she likes all the people and wants everyone to know what a caring place PHS is and that you can always depend on them.

Community Medical Associates
Tina King is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our Community Medical Associates clinic. Tina has been employed at PHS for a total of 12 out of the past 16 years. Kelly Schwager, Rural Health Clinic Director states that “Tina is very dedicated to her job, her patients, and Pershing. She is always willing to chip in and help no matter what we ask, and she does it with a great attitude!”

I have 5 grandchildren ranging from 17 years to 7 months old.

Med/Surg
Darlene is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on our Med-Surg unit and has been with the PHS family for 16 years. When asked what she likes about her position at PHS, Darlene stated, “I love taking care of my patients and putting a smile on their face. I also love the knowledge that we can learn from listening to our elders.” In her free time, Darlene enjoys drinking coffee and watching the news, and relaxing and spending time with her grandchildren and husband.

All of the nurses that I work with are my heroes, but I would have to say that Shelly Huffman will go above and beyond to help me in making the patients comfortable.

Radiology
Kimi Brooks is a Registered Radiologic/Mammography Technologist at Pershing Health System and celebrated 30 years at PHS this past August! Kimi says one thing people may not know about her is that she reads suspense novels every night. When asked one thing she would like people to know about PHS, Kimi stated that “Radiology has updated to state-of-the-art equipment that includes 3D Mammography.”

Environmental Services
Matthew works in Environmental Services and was nominated for Employee of the Month for being outgoing, providing fantastic support for his fellow staff, and is always willing to help where needed. Matt has been employed with PHS since February 2022 and says what he likes best about his position is the work atmosphere. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with family and buying car parts that “I definitely don’t need”.

One of my heroes is myself in 10 years, so you see every day, every week, every month, and every year of my life, my hero is always 10 years away. I’m never going to be my hero. I’m not going to attain that. I know I’m not and that’s just fine with me because that keeps me with somebody to keep chasing.

Medical-Surgical
Rhonda Brown is a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit and has been with Pershing Health System for nine years. When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, she stated “I like meeting all the different people as patients. I am a people person and I enjoy caring for my patients and getting to know them.” In her free time Rhonda enjoys spending time with family, her “fur-family”, and friends.

Describe one of your heroes?
I would consider my parents and sister to be my heroes. My parents for working so hard to provide for our family when I was growing up – it seemed we never needed or wanted for anything. My sister was one of my heroes because her entire life she was chronically ill but never let that stop her from doing the things she wanted to in life, persevering until she achieved her goals.
What do you want people to know about PHS?
I want people to know about the wide variety of services that PHS offers. In addition to our med-surg floor, emergency room and clinics, we also have a wide variety of outpatient clinics that include cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, orthopedics, podiatry services, sleep diagnostics and more. Our radiology and lab departments have the latest in testing equipment. We have so much to offer!

Respiratory
Terry Brosemer is the Director of Respiratory Care at Pershing Health System. Terry states that his favorite thing about working at PHS is helping patients with their breathing disorders. In his free time Terry enjoys golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. One thing most people don’t know about Terry is that he went to college on a basketball scholarship.
