Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment of Chronic and Acute Respiratory Disorders
A wide spectrum of services is offered through Pershing Health System’s Respiratory Therapy Department. These services include the administration of oxygen, breathing treatments, pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and other treatments as needed by patients.
These services are provided for both outpatients and inpatients.
Pershing Health System is unique in that it offers pulmonary function testing with DLCO (Diffusing Capacity for Carbon Monoxide). DLCO is one of a group of pulmonary function testing used in detecting, characterizing, and quantifying lung disease. Not all hospitals include DLCO as a part of their pulmonary function testing regimen. The healthcare providers at Pershing Health System are proud to offer this additional service to better care for our patients.

You may have a sleep disorder, and this can have a major effect on your overall health. Being deprived of restful sleep can weaken your immune system along with affecting your mood, hormones, and energy levels. Proper, restful sleep is an important part of a person’s health. - No needles, no pain.
- Generally easy to tolerate and comfortable for the patient.
- Electrodes and censors measure brain waves, heart rate, movement, and blood oxygen levels.
- A technician monitors the sleep study and is available if the patient needs them.
- Your test is scored and interpreted by a qualified physician, providing information needed for an accurate diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
