MEET JACQUE GLADBACH
JACQUE GLADBACH
Jacque Gladbach is the Nursing Administration Secretary and has been with Pershing Health System for 9 years. When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, Jacque stated, “I love the people I work with, and I have made lifelong friends. The work I do is interesting and I have learned a lot about healthcare.”

Describe one of your heroes?
My sister, Stacey, is one of my heroes. She had breast cancer and went through a lumpectomy along with chemo and radiation. This happened when COVID first happened in our area, and she developed COVID during this time. She still has to have a monthly shot in her stomach with a 16 gauge needle every month. In the meanwhile, she has developed small cell lymphoma and is going through trial medication for that. She is such a fighter and still gardens, cooks wonderful food for our family and works full time.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I used to be a HAM radio operator.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spend time with my family and friends, Go and watch Kansas City Chiefs football (and all NFL games too), Shop and Travel.

CARISSA GUNN
Carissa Gunn is the Director of the Health Information Department and has been with Pershing Health System for 3.5 years. When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, Carissa stated, “I like the friendly atmosphere Pershing offers and the wide variety of skills I am able to learn through my position each day. Every day poses a new obstacle/problem for me and my team to put our brains together and solve.”

VANESSA FOSTER
Medical Coder/ Health Information Department
Vanessa Foster is a Medical Coder in the Health Information Department and has been with Pershing Health System for 2 years. When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, Vanessa stated, “I enjoy the people that I work with and that we are a family-based department. The ability to still be available for my kids when needed which, was one of the things I stressed as importance when hired. I appreciate the vast variety of patients that I encounter each day. The continuing of education that goes with coding, there is always something new to learn. The amount of numbers that I can spout off surprise even me, they are all attached to some procedure or ailment, and I use them frequently.”

What do you like to do in your free time?
My kids are very active in a variety of sports and probably my favorite place to be is sitting on the sidelines of whichever sport they are participating in cheering them on and watching them grow. When I am not doing that, I like to be outdoors floating, fishing, or sitting around a bonfire.
What do you want people to know about PHS?
PHS has a variety of services and continually are trying to improve services to better provide for the patients in our area.

Justin Clevenger is a Paramedic in the Emergency Department and has been with Pershing Health System for <1 year. When asked what he likes best about his position at Pershing, Justin stated, “Pershing gives me the opportunity to offer some relief in some peoples’ moments of grief and terror.”

When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, Caitlyn stated, “I enjoy the challenge of my position. Not only is this a new position at Pershing, but every day is a new puzzle to solve.”

KATE GAUDET, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Occupational Therapy/ Rehab
Kate Gaudet is an Occupational Therapist and has been with Pershing Health System for 3.5 years. When asked what she likes best about her position at Pershing, Kate stated, “I love that I am able to work close to home and have a direct impact on helping the people in my very own community. It is very rewarding when I get to see previous patients thriving again after enduring a medical setback.”

I was a softball pitcher at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) and I also played overseas for one season in the Netherlands.
What do you like to do in your free time?
My husband and I spend most of our free time watching or coaching our four children at their many sporting events.
