Leroy Neal’s Emergency Care at PHS

After undergoing heart surgery in early March, Leroy Neal began experiencing severe pain just days after returning home. On March 21, he was advised to go to the Emergency Department at Pershing Health System. Upon arrival, the PHS team quickly discovered Leroy was retaining 20 pounds of excess fluid.

Dr. Gregory and the Emergency Department staff worked diligently for six hours to stabilize his condition by removing the fluid. Once he was stable, Leroy was transported by ambulance to Columbia, where his medications could be further regulated.

Reflecting on his experience, Leroy shared,

“Dr. Gregory is a super nice guy. I would highly recommend him to anyone! I am very thankful for the Emergency Department at PHS. They were terrific in meeting my needs!”

At Pershing Health System, we are proud to serve our community and be there when people need us most. Our Emergency Department plays a vital role in Brookfield and the surrounding area by delivering trusted, high-quality care with urgency and compassion.
